Frequently asked

Who can be a partner?
Solo content creators, agencies, consultants, indie hackers β€” if you're in a Stripe Connect Express country, you're in.
When are commissions paid?
On the 1st of each month, confirmed commissions from the previous month are sent to your Stripe Connect. Minimum $50 accrual required.
What happens on refund or churn?
If the customer refunds within 30 days, the commission is clawed back. If they churn mid-12-month, no commission the following month.
Do self-referrals earn commission?
No β€” self-referrals are not accepted. Same-company employees referring their own team also doesn't count.
What if multiple partners refer the same customer?
First-click rule β€” the first ref slug is valid for 30 days via cookie. After that, last-click takes over.
Do you withhold taxes?
Stripe Connect Express handles 1099/W-9 or VAT-compliant invoices per local rules. Gurulu just calculates gross commission.
Is it lifetime?
No, recurring for 12 months. From month 13 onwards no commission, but the customer stays on Gurulu.
How do I leave the program?
In account settings, click 'Leave program'. Your accrued balance gets paid out one last time.
